📋 Tanggung Jawab Pekerjaan

• Operate and maintain navigation equipment, including radar, GPS, and autopilot systems.
• Monitor vessel position and heading, making adjustments as needed to ensure safe and efficient navigation.
• Conduct regular safety checks and inspections of navigation equipment.
• Assist the ship's captain in planning and executing navigation routes, considering factors such as weather conditions, tidal patterns, and local regulations.
• Keep detailed records of navigation activities and maintain accurate logbooks.
• Communicate effectively with the ship's crew and other vessels to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Stay updated on maritime regulations and best practices, participating in training and professional development activities as needed.
• Contribute to the overall safety and efficiency of the vessel, working collaboratively with the crew to achieve common goals.

🎓 Kualifikasi & Syarat

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Steersman or similar role in maritime operations.
• Proven ability to operate and maintain navigation equipment, including radar, GPS, and autopilot systems.
• Strong knowledge of maritime regulations and best practices, including the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea (COLREGs).
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Valid Steersman certification or equivalent, such as the International Certificate of Competency (ICC) or equivalent.
• Familiarity with navigation software and tools, such as ECDIS (Electronic Chart Display and Information System) and AIS (Automatic Identification System).
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the shipping schedule.
• Commitment to safety and a strong sense of responsibility for the well-being of the crew and the vessel.
